I know you guys have all been waiting on the edge of your seats for me to finish this project..
Wait, am I dramatizing that?
Sorry.
I know you guys have been waiting patiently for an update from me! School is back in session over here, so I really do have more free time! With that, I was able to make a trip to IKEA to get some frames to finish my gallery wall!
I know you're excited. Contain yourselves.
This is where I left you last.
With ill-placed/ill-proportioned 8x10s on the right side of the picture (thanks to my big "OOPS" moment). I told you that I wanted to replace those with two 11x14 photos, but at the same time, I didn't want to just discard those two prints!
So I moved them up and tried to figure out a better arrangement. This turned out way better than my original plan with the 11x14s!
I love that the entire area above the sofa is filled in with this asymmetrical gallery of family moments. Or.. it will be once I add pictures to my new frames.
The new frames are the RIBBA frames from IKEA. The black one is a 12x16 that was $9.99, and the smaller ones are 5x7s, purchased at $1.99/each. These additions take the total for my $5.14 gallery wall up to $19.67 (including taxes).
One of my favorite things about this is the new black frame. I LOVE how it brings some more dimension, while still keeping totally in-line with the black/white scheme.
Now I just hope it doesn't take so long for me to FILL the frames!
So how was your weekend? Any photo updates in your home?
