Hard to Write

You guys, I'd like you to meet Moses.

For those of you that have been around for a while, you've noticed Moses has made appearances on my blog before.

He and unfolded clothes seem ever-present in my living room photos.

And he's been ever-present since I met Mr. Goats 9 years ago.

And Mr. Goats took him everywhere.

Moses has been with Mr. Goats for the past 16 years. And those two's love for each other is more than I've ever seen a man/dog love each other.

Over the past 9 years, I've grown to love Mosey more than I imagined I could love a pup.

We had to put Moses down yesterday.

An integral part of our family is missing today.

We miss you, Mosey Wosey.

  1. Really sorry for all of you - he looks a lot like our Belle who we lost last month after 13 years... Two great pups running around in a new playground now.

  2. Sorry to hear about this. I recall that your love for Moses was an acquired taste but I know that you all must be very sad today. I hope you find solace in the great memories you created over the many years.

  4. Awww -- I'm so sorry for your family. To have to decide to let a four-legged child go is one of the hardest but kindest things you can ever do. You love them so and hate to see them hurting, but the hole they leave in your heart seems irreparable. What a terrible day...

  6. I am so sorry for you all - losing a member of your family is never easy, but having to make the hard but right choice you did is just awful. I had to put my Hank down 1 1/2 yrs ago, and I still miss that great big mess of a dog. Warm thoughts your way...

  8. My sympathies, it is so hard to lose a pet - especially when they have been with you for so long. Last fall, we had to do the same with our two cats (14 & 12). It took us over 6 months to be "ready" for our new pets. Take your time, cry and grieve for him. Hugs to you....
